Foreigners: Have You Ever Read An Entire Chinese Novel?
It would be interesting to know if any foreingers here have actually read an entire Chinese novel? My first year in China I was given a Chinese book by a foreign friend of mine who said "don't worry, you don't have to read this now but you'll be able to read it in a few years".
I've been here a few years and I'm still not capable of reading the novel.  I feel like there are a million Chinese characters out there when there are only several thousands!
