Telling a friend you do not like something about him/her.

When we have good friendship with someone, we feel like enjoying every moment with him/her and we start liking almost everything of him/her. However, many times, we do start feeling that we do not like few things in our friend.
However, if we tell something very frankly about our disliking, we feel anxious about the out come. May be our friend would not like our telling him/her that we do not like something about him/her.
So how do you tell your friend that you do not like something about him/her?

Most of the time, I reason with myself before. If I feel it is a very honest and close friendship, I find a way to tell them by telling them the exact same situation from another friend, and tell them "I don't like it when people do that" or something. If I feel they are the kind who can handle it, I just tell them during a time I feel they are at ease with me.

For other friends with whom I feel not so close... my "friends", I don't tell them, I just try to avoid them so that I don't have to deal with whatever offends me as much. I guess people are very different and therefore we have to try to tolerate/ accept each other's differences!

yes this is really complicated to tell some one about their bad habits or wring things.

But when i have to tell these things to my friends than i am not wasting my time, Just ask him to talk and tell every thing what i am thinking about him/her because i think that we are the only few guys can help our friends to improve there life style or remove there bad habits by realizing these wrong things.

It's up to him that they are going to consider or not. Friends can help.

If the person isn't that important to me, I'd just say it out like "I don't get why you're being the way you are" or anything along that line. I am also more straightforward and rude to people I don't respect much.

But to my close friends I try to understand why they are the way they are, and just try to remind them to balance their perspective on things.

But mostly (to close friends) I end up just tolerating them. If I don't like something about them I just label it as "that's the way they are", roll my eyes and live with it.
